Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with state standards and school curriculum for general education students.

• Use a variety of instructional strategies, including experiments, demonstrations, and technology integration, to enhance student understanding.

• Assess student learning regularly through quizzes, tests, lab reports, projects, and other evaluations, providing timely and constructive feedback.

• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs, including support for students with special education needs or English language learners.

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and lab safety compliance.

• Promote safe laboratory practices and ensure students understand and adhere to safety guidelines during experiments.

• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and any concerns.

• Collaborate with fellow teachers, science department staff, and administration to develop curriculum improvements and school-wide science initiatives.

• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with scientific advancements and educational best practices.

• Foster a classroom environment that encourages inquiry, respect, and academic integrity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related scientific discipline (Master’s degree preferred).

• Valid state teaching certification/license in science education.

• Experience teaching science at the general education level preferred.

• Strong knowledge of scientific concepts, lab techniques, and safety protocols.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop a passion for science.
