Science Teacher Certification and Qualifications
Qualifications for science teachers are determined by the individual states. To teach science at an elementary level, most states require a science endorsement that is earned while you are obtaining a bachelor’s degree in general or elementary education. Most regions also require passing the science skills test for teachers. A bachelor’s in a science-related field and a secondary endorsement is required for certification to teach science at the upper levels. However, this may vary slightly for each state.
