What You’ll Do:

• Design and deliver physics instruction aligned with Pennsylvania state and district standards

• Develop lesson plans and assessments that encourage inquiry-based learning and critical thinking

• Use data and formative assessments to guide instructional decisions

• Support positive classroom culture through consistent behavior and classroom management strategies

• Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and families to support student achievement

• Integrate technology and hands-on experimentation into instruction

What We’re Looking For:

• Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Physics or related science content

  • Candidates with a bachelor’s degree may be considered for an emergency teaching permit

• Demonstrated classroom experience—ideally in high school settings

• Strong instructional and behavioral management skills are essential

• Experience working in urban schools is strongly preferred

• Must be able to meet all PA clearance requirements (FBI, Child Abuse, State Criminal Background Check)

• Comfortable working within district expectations and policies
