Position Details:
  • Caseload: ESL Class, Grades 9–12, with Autism support
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
  • Date: September 2, 2025 - June 12, 2026
  • Professional Development Day: August 20, 2025
  • Pay Rate: $21.50/hour
Daily Responsibilities:
  • Provide classroom support to ESL students with autism and other special needs
  • Assist lead teachers with lesson implementation, classroom management, and behavior redirection
  • Support students in both academic and social-emotional growth
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families in both Spanish and English
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Must have experience supporting students with Autism
  • Must have school-based experience in a similar support role
  • Must be comfortable working in an urban educational setting
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be comfortable working with the SPED population
  • Must have professional references available
  • Must be able to obtain/complete all PA state clearances (FBI fingerprint, child abuse, criminal background)
