We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Biology Teacher to join our team in Chester, PA for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position with a high school caseload. The ideal candidate will have strong instructional skills, exceptional classroom and behavioral management abilities, and experience working in an urban setting.

Position Details:

  • Location: Chester, PA

  • Hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday

  • Start Date: August 25, 2025

  • End Date: June 12, 2026

  • Caseload: High school biology

  • Interview: Zoom

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate mastery of biology subject matter, instructional skills, and resource materials for courses taught.

  • Create lesson plans aligned with state and district standards, driving instruction through formative assessment and differentiation.

  • Maintain a structured, engaging, and well-managed classroom environment.

  • Support students academically and behaviorally to ensure success.

Requirements:

  • Active teaching certification OR bachelor’s degree (to receive emergency teaching permit).

  • Must have prior school experience.

  • Strong classroom and behavioral management skills.

  • Experience working in an urban educational setting.

  • Must be able to complete all required Pennsylvania clearances.

Compensation & Benefits:
