Bilingual General Education Teacher – Full-Time | Blue Island, IL | 2025–2026 School Year

A fantastic school district located in Blue Island, IL is seeking a full-time Bilingual General Education Teacher to join the team. In this role, you will provide essential support and instruction to students, helping to foster academic achievement and personal growth. You will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure each student receives the appropriate care and support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students in both English and [target language, e.g., Spanish], aligned with curriculum standards

• Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student academic and social-emotional development

• Assist in implementing individualized behavior or educational plans as needed

• Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and generate reports

• Participate in meetings and provide input regarding student performance and needs

• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that fosters learning for all students

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with K–12 General Education endorsement

• Bilingual proficiency in English and [target language, e.g., Spanish]

• Experience working in school settings, ideally with diverse or bilingual student populations

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

• Knowledge of differentiated instruction and culturally responsive teaching strategies
