Position Summary
In this role, you’ll work with K–12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing, supporting their language development, communication skills, and academic growth. You’ll adapt and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborate with classroom teachers and speech-language pathologists, and integrate assistive listening technology to promote accessibility. Your work will ensure each student has the tools and confidence to succeed both academically and socially.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field

  • Valid Texas DHH certification or eligibility for certification

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred

  • Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing (school-based experience preferred)

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
