Position: Math Teacher - Detroit, MI
Description: Blazer Jobs, in collaboration with a school in Detroit, MI, is seeking a passionate and qualified Math Teacher to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students and foster a love for mathematics.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging math lessons that align with state standards and curriculum objectives.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to promote student understanding and problem-solving skills.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Provide timely feedback to students and parents on academic performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field.
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Mathematics endorsement.
- Knowledge of Michigan state standards for mathematics education.
- Experience teaching math at the middle or high school level preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
