Location: Glendale Heights, IL
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours per week
Contract Dates: August 2025 – June 2026 (2025–2026 School Year)

Blazer Jobs is seeking a certified EL Specialist Teacher for a full-time, school-based role in Glendale Heights, IL. This position is ideal for a compassionate educator dedicated to supporting the academic and language development needs of English Learner (EL) students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support in language acquisition and academic content areas tailored to the needs of EL students.

• Collaborate with general education teachers and school staff to develop and implement instructional goals and strategies aligned with district and IEP requirements.

• Monitor and assess student progress using formal and informal assessments to inform instruction.

• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and team members to share updates and strategies for student success.

• Prepare for and actively participate in IEP meetings, EL program planning, and other relevant student support meetings.

• Support classroom differentiation and scaffolded instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

Requirements:

• Valid Illinois certification as an EL Specialist or appropriate teaching credential.

• Experience working with English Learners in school settings preferred.

• Strong understanding of language acquisition strategies, instructional technologies, and differentiated instruction.

• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong organizational skills with consistent and accurate documentation practices.

Compensation:

• Competitive pay starting between $46 to $56 per hour, based on experience.
