About the Role:
The EL Specialist will play a key role in supporting English learners by providing targeted instructional services, language development strategies, and academic support. You’ll collaborate closely with school staff, students, and families to ensure a safe, inclusive, and effective learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct services to English learners as required by language proficiency plans or IEPs.

• Assess student language development and maintain accurate records of progress.

• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to implement effective instructional strategies.

• Support student academic development, language acquisition, and overall wellness.

• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations regarding English learner programs.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois EL Specialist or teaching credential.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, TESOL, or related field.

• Experience working with English learners in a school setting is preferred.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
