General Education Teacher | Smyrna, DE

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated General Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year. As a general education teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students, fostering a love for the subject and helping them develop critical thinking and analytical skills. 

Position: General Education Teacher
Contract Type: Full-time, renewal based on job performance
Start Date: Beginning of the 2024-2025 academic year
Caseload: Elementary, Middle and High school opportunities available
Application Deadline: Rolling basis until the positions are filled

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum standards
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and active learning
• Use various instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
• Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and support
• Establish effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to enhance the overall educational experience

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field (Master's degree preferred)
• Valid Delaware teaching certification
• Experience working with students, preferably in a classroom setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
• Ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction
• Understanding of differentiated instruction and ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly
