Position Overview:
The English Teacher will deliver engaging instruction in reading, writing, and critical thinking while aligning with state standards and curriculum. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and passionate about helping students strengthen their communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement lessons aligned with district and state curriculum standards

• Teach English Language Arts with a focus on reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and literature analysis

• Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs

• Assess student progress and provide feedback to support growth

• Create a classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and active learning

• Integrate technology and innovative practices into instruction

• Communicate regularly with parents, administrators, and colleagues regarding student progress

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Secondary Education, or related field

• Valid Louisiana Teaching Certification with endorsement in English/ELA (or eligibility to obtain)

• Strong knowledge of English Language Arts curriculum and standards

• Previous teaching experience preferred

• Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
