Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced High School Teacher to join our team immediately for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position working with high school students in an urban school environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong instructional skills, effective classroom and behavioral management, and a commitment to fostering academic growth and equity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction aligned with state and district standards

• Develop and implement lesson plans that include differentiation and formative assessment

• Establish a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment

• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to support student achievement

• Communicate regularly with students and families regarding progress and expectations

• Uphold school policies, maintain student records, and participate in professional development

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (required to qualify for an emergency teaching permit if necessary)

• Active Pennsylvania teaching certification

• Completed PA clearances (Act 34, Act 151, FBI Fingerprinting, etc.)

• Prior school experience, preferably with high school students

• Demonstrated strong classroom and behavioral management skills

• Experience working in an urban educational setting

• Comfort and adaptability with the school district culture and expectations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching in a high school environment

• Familiarity with Pennsylvania’s curriculum frameworks and graduation requirements

• Passion for working with diverse learners and implementing inclusive practices
