High School Science Teacher | Full-Time | Chester, PA

Blazer Jobs is proud to partner with a dedicated school district in Chester, PA to hire a Full-Time High School Science Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. This is an onsite position with an immediate start date and an end date of June 12, 2026. Renewal for the following school year is based on performance and district needs.

We’re looking for a passionate, reliable educator who thrives in an urban school environment and can engage students through hands-on, meaningful instruction.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP

• End Date: June 12, 2026

• Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

• Location: Onsite in Chester, PA

• Caseload: High school science students

• Pay: $34–$36/hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective science instruction aligned with Pennsylvania state standards.

• Create and implement lesson plans that include differentiation and formative assessments.

• Demonstrate strong classroom and behavioral management skills to foster a positive learning environment.

• Evaluate and monitor student progress through assessments and data-driven strategies.

• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to enhance the educational experience for all students.

• Participate in professional development opportunities to strengthen instructional practice.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania teaching certification required (or eligibility for an emergency teaching permit with a bachelor's degree).

• Must have prior experience working in a school setting.

• Experience in an urban educational environment strongly preferred.

• Must be able to complete all required PA clearances.

• Demonstrated mastery of subject matter, instructional skills, and related resources.

• Excellent communication and classroom management abilities.
