Hourly Pay: $39–$44/hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Math Teacher to join a K–12 educational team in New Orleans, LA, for the 2025–2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about mathematics education and committed to fostering academic success and critical thinking among diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver standards-based math instruction across assigned grade levels

  • Implement effective teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners

  • Develop lesson plans that incorporate real-world applications, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning

  • Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative tools

  • Use data to inform instruction and provide targeted interventions

  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and respect

  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance curriculum and instruction

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and progress

  • Participate in professional development sessions and school-wide initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field

  • Valid Louisiana teaching certification in Mathematics (or eligibility to obtain before the start of the school year)

  • Prior teaching experience in a K–12 school setting preferred

  • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in using educational technology and math instructional tools

  • Commitment to equitable instruction and culturally responsive teaching practices
