Location: Zion, Illinois
Contract Dates: ASAP – June 1, 2025
Schedule: Full-time, 32.5 hours per week
Setting: Onsite
Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate Multi-Language (Spanish) Newcomer Teacher to provide instructional support to English Learners (ELs) with limited or no English proficiency in a welcoming, inclusive learning environment. This role focuses on helping students acquire English language skills while maintaining academic progress in core subjects.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong instructional planning, differentiation, and communication skills, along with the ability to create a culturally responsive classroom that meets the unique needs of multilingual learners.
Caseload Details

Serve individuals or small groups of limited or non-English-speaking students

Deliver instruction in classroom, pull-out, or other structured settings

Collaborate with general education staff to support language and academic development

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field (required)

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) with appropriate endorsements

Bilingual Endorsement, Bilingual Approval, ESL, or Type 29 Certification (required)

Spanish fluency strongly preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience in curriculum design, lesson planning, and instruction for English Learners
