Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Theatre Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have a passion for theatre education and a desire to inspire and empower students through the performing arts. As a Theatre Teacher, you will have the opportunity to shape the theatre program, engage students in creative expression, and contribute to the vibrant arts community within the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive theatre curriculum for middle and high school students, incorporating acting techniques, theatre history, playwriting, and technical skills.
- Plan and lead engaging theatre classes and rehearsals, providing students with opportunities to explore their creativity and develop their performance abilities.
- Direct and oversee school productions, including selecting and casting plays, coordinating rehearsals, and managing technical elements such as set design, lighting, and sound.
- 4/15/2024-Â 5/24/2024
- 35 hours (Full Time)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Previous experience teaching theatre in a school setting, preferably at the middle or high school level.
- Strong background in acting, directing, and technical theatre, with experience in producing and directing school productions.
