Job Title: General Education - Math Teacher
Location: New Orleans, LA Area Schools
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site, Contract
Pay: Starting at $40/Hour

A public school in the New Orleans, Louisiana area is seeking a passionate and dedicated General Education Math Teacher to join our instructional team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive learning environment, delivering high-quality math instruction, and supporting the academic growth of all students. This role will involve teaching Algebra, Geometry, and/or other school-level math courses as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in high school math subjects.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with Louisiana State Standards.
  • Assess and monitor student performance regularly to ensure academic progress.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Maintain accurate records, including grades, attendance, and behavior documentation.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, school leadership, and support staff to enhance the educational experience.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
  • Participate in professional development sessions, faculty meetings, and school events.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (required).
  • Valid Louisiana teaching certification in secondary mathematics or eligibility to obtain certification (required).
  • Experience teaching in a high school setting preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of math content and effective instructional strategies.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
