Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a School-Based ESL Teacher for a full-time, on-site contract with a school district partner in Harvey, LA, for the 2025–2026 school year. This is an excellent opportunity for educators passionate about English language development and helping students succeed academically and socially.

Compensation & Benefits

Local Candidates:

• Hourly pay: $41–$46/hour

• Weekly direct deposit

Travel Candidates:

• Weekly gross: $1,388–$1,613

• Housing and meals stipends (tax-free if eligible)

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging English language instruction tailored to students’ proficiency levels

• Support language acquisition across reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills

• Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate ESL strategies into the curriculum

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation

• Participate in IEP/ELL meetings and comply with district/state requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred)

• Valid Louisiana teaching certification with ESL endorsement (or eligibility)

• Previous school-based ESL/ELL teaching experience preferred

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Commitment to student-focused instruction
