Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable General Education Science Teacher to join our team in New Orleans, LA. The ideal candidate will provide engaging, standards-based instruction in science high school students. This role requires a commitment to fostering scientific literacy, inquiry-based learning, and critical thinking in a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver effective science lessons aligned with state and district standards

• Teach key scientific concepts in life, physical, and/or earth sciences depending on grade level

• Use hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and technology to enhance learning

• Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying student abilities and learning styles

• Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and collaboration

• Assess student performance through various formative and summative methods

• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student achievement

• Participate in school-wide initiatives, meetings, and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

• Valid Louisiana teaching license with Science certification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Science Education, or a related field

• Strong classroom management and instructional skills

• Ability to build positive relationships with students and families

• Experience teaching science in a general education setting (preferred)
