Special education teachers are needed in every school in the US from the lower elementary grades to high schools. Special Education Teacher Certifications and Qualifications

The qualifications and certifications for special ed teachers may vary greatly between states. However, in most states, you will need to earn a bachelor’s degree in special education. You’ll also be required to complete a teacher preparation program which is usually included in the requirements for obtaining a bachelor’s degree. In most states, you will be required to take the professional special education skills test as part of the certification process.

Responsibilities
